Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:
• GitHub repository metadata — repo name, owner, and branch. We do not access your source code.
• Commit messages — used solely to generate changelog entries.
• Email addresses — only if a user subscribes to a project's changelog.
• Analytics events — anonymous page views, reactions, and widget opens. No personal identifiers are tracked.
Your data is used exclusively to power AutoLog's features:
• Commit messages are sent to an AI model to generate human-readable changelog summaries.
• Email addresses are used only to notify subscribers of new changelog entries.
• Analytics data is aggregated and displayed in your project dashboard. It is never sold or shared.
We rely on the following third-party services:
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Data is hosted in Supabase Cloud.
• GitHub API — to receive webhook events and read commit metadata.
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — commit messages are sent to generate changelog summaries. No source code is sent.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
• Changelog entries and analytics data are retained as long as your project exists.
• If you delete a project, all associated data (entries, analytics, subscribers, webhook logs) is permanently removed.
• You can request full account deletion by contacting privacy@autologs.io.
We use minimal cookies:
• Authentication session cookie — required to keep you signed in. HTTP-only, secure.
• No tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party trackers.
You have the right to:
• Access the data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Export your changelog entries at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@autologs.io.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, email us at privacy@autologs.io.
